Sheila sizes by your body, not by the label on your last swimsuit. That's deliberate — measuring against our size guide is the most reliable way to land your best fit.

Our swimsuits are built to be supportive and comfortable. Between two sizes? Size down for a snug, compressive feel. Size up for a relaxed fit with room to move.


Models:

  • Jess wears a Sheila size L and is an Australian size 14 (US size 10). Her measurements are height 178cm (5’10”), bust 97cm (38”), waist 76cm (30”), hips 107cm (42”), cup size DD.

Care

Swimming in chlorine? Go for Black Sand. Chlorine fades vivid colours over time — no matter how good the colourfastness or fabric — so darker holds up best in the pool. Salt or fresh water? Any colour's fair game.

Then keep your suit at its best:

  • Wash before use
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water
  • Dry flat in shade
  • Avoid rough surfaces
  • Avoid high levels of chlorine
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

Composition

Our recycled nylon starts as waste — fishing nets, carpets, abandoned textiles and plastic — that would otherwise pollute the planet. It's sorted, cleaned and regenerated into new fibre under the Global Recycled Standard.

Free standard shipping via USPS Ground on all orders, arriving in 2-6 business days from despatch. Express via USPS Priority is a flat $20 USD (1-3 business days). All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Menlo Park, California.

    Fashionable sun protection

    The Cate is so comfortable! The thumb loops and hand protection is a real plus. I bought the Mina one piece in L and it fits perfectly. I find the Cate a bit snug but I like a looser fit in general.

    Love it!

    I love this rashie. I've worn it for months now at the beach, white water rafting, tubing, at the pool... it has held up so well. It hasn't stretched out at all, and I'm sure it will last for many seasons. I particularly love the zip up style and high neck, which provides excellent sun coverage. And I love the long arms with thumb holes to cover the backs of my hands. Plus the color is beautiful.

    Protective *and* stylish!

    I love my Cate Rash Vest! I have it in all three colors (see pics for proof!). I wore it on my recent trip to Hawaii for a range of full-sun activities — from canoeing to snorkeling to swimming in the pool and ocean, and even out to brunch! The high neck protection was exactly what I needed, and I really appreciated the length of the arms and the thumb holes as my hands were also protected from the sun. I recommend sizing up. I'm normally a size L but purchased the XL.
