Finding true self: Leonie’s path with Sheila Swimwear

Finding time for self-reflection — to think, wonder, and explore — is essential. Equally critical are moments with loved ones. But it’s not about ‘doing it all’. It's about discovering what brings you joy and comfort to life. For Leonie — a mother, podcaster, model, and working professional — it's the blend of these moments that shapes her inner peace, which, in turn, influences her outer world.

The rituals that replenish

What fills up Leonie's cup? Running, socialising, and reading. "When I'm engaging in these activities, time slips away from me. I feel completely in the moment. I can escape my worries, anxieties, and fully immerse myself in my surroundings. Then, when I finish, I feel happy, energised; my cup is overflowing."

We often overlook the moments that, though simple, truly allow us to become the best versions of ourselves. This is why prioritising and valuing these rituals is integral to feeling like ourselves, day in, day out, no matter how chaotic the world around us becomes.

The miracle of morning

There’s a special kind of peace that comes with waking up in the early hours, and Leonie knows this more than anyone. “I love nothing more than waking up before everyone in the house and listening to the silence.” This quiet time is when she can tackle her most demanding 'to-do' lists. And by the time everyone else wakes up an hour later? She feels prepared for them — ready to address the needs of her beautiful 3 and 5 year olds.

Seaside serenity

The sea, with its constant ebbs and flows, holds a special place in Leonie's heart. "I love everything about the ocean — the movement, the smell, the sound. It's grounding and vast. It makes me feel small in this vast world." This connection to the sea is a source of inspiration and perspective, reminding her of life's beauty. Whether she's in her Ash Cropped Rash Vest, or her Alyssa Mid Swim Shorts, the ocean guides her. "It puts everything into perspective and reminds me of the beauty of life.

Simple joys, little moments

For Leonie, the greatest happiness lies in the simple moments. The sound of her children laughing, enjoying meals with family, the comfort found in a friend's hug, and the satisfaction of eating a well-cooked meal. These moments, though brief, remind her to stay present — and to appreciate the little things in life.
