Discover how versatile swimwear can elevate your Miami girls’ trip. From beach days to art galleries, explore a fun-filled itinerary with stylish swimwear options.
Planning a girls' trip to Miami? My oh my, do we have you covered. Sheila founder, Clare Barrins, recently travelled to Miami to celebrate her dear friend Alicia's 40th birthday. Armed with an exciting itinerary and her Sheila swimwear locked and loaded, Clare shares her top tips (and swimwear suggestions!) to ensure you can hit all the best spots with your outfit and vibes on point.
Three days in Miami, let’s do it.
DAY ONE: ART AND INDULGENCE
Wynwood Walls
Start your trip with a visit to the famous Wynwood Walls. This outdoor museum features stunning street art and murals by artists from around the globe. It’s also the perfect backdrop for taking some snaps for the memories—three, two, one, pose.
Mandolin Aegean Bistro for lunch
After soaking in the art, head over to Mandolin Aegean Bistro for a delicious Mediterranean lunch. Nail your dip-to-bread ratio or squeeze some lemon on your bubbling saganaki. This relaxed yet delicious atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to refuel.
Take a wander around the Design District
The Design District is a creative’s paradise, brimming with high-end boutiques, mesmerising galleries, cafes, and stunning architecture. We could go on and on, but we won’t. In short: Prepare to be overwhelmed in the best kind of way.
Michael's Genuine Food & Drink for dinner
End the day with a flavour-bursting dinner at Michael's Genuine Food & Drink. Featuring locally sourced ingredients and innovative dishes, this menu will delight your taste buds and have you plotting your return before you've even left.
Swimwear tip
For a day packed with activities, our Mina One-Piece is your go-to. It provides the coverage and support you crave while making it easy to transition from the beach to lunch and beyond. Pair with sneakers, sunnies, and an oversized white shirt.
DAY TWO: SUN, SAND AND GREAT VIBES
Get your hike on
Kickstart your day with a hike in Key Biscayne. The stunning trails and panoramic views promise an unforgettable morning. Breathe in the fresh air, take in the views, and relish the moment with pride and of course, presence.
Hit the beach
After your hike, it's time to hit the beach (well deserved, might we add). Whether you're a lay-on-the-sand kind of Sheila or a dive-straight-in Sheila, the beach is the perfect reward. Relax on the warm sands, take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters, and let the waves wash your worries away.
Refuel at Joe's Stone Crab
Cap off your day with the one, the only, Joe's Stone Crab. Known for some of the best stone crabs in town (duh), this joint is an absolute must-visit after a day of sun, sand, and great vibes. Pro-tip: the service is stellar (see: speedy), so if you want to make a night of it, order slowly.
Swimwear tip
Rock your Ash Cropped Rash Vest and Grace Mini Swim Shorts for a beach-ready vibe. For an effortless day-to-night switch, stash some stretchy flared leggings in your beach bag. When the sun sets, trade your shorts for leggings and keep the vest for a comfy yet chic look.
DAY THREE: CULTURE AND CULINARY DELIGHTS
Little Havana
On your final day, dive into the vibrant culture of Little Havana. This Cuban-influenced neighbourhood bursts with colourful murals, lively music, and ultra-delicious flavours. Stroll down Calle Ocho, the heart of Cuban culture in Miami, and explore its famous landmarks like the Walk of Fame and Calle Ocho Plaza. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
Lunch at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens
Wander through manicured gardens, discover European art, and enjoy lunch at the on-site cafe at the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Built between 1914 and 1922, Vizcaya's Main House remains a Miami must-see.
Dinner at Pastis
Wrap up your trip with a delightful dinner at Pastis. Known for its je ne sais quoi, this chic French bistro offers a charming ambiance and a menu filled with classic French dishes, perfect for a memorable final night in Miami.
Swimwear tip
For a cultural day out, the Nellie Scoop Bikini Top with UPF 50+ protection paired with Grace Mini Swim Shorts is perfect. Stylish and comfy for exploring, you can also mix it up with a long crochet dress for breezy vibes or high-waisted flowy pants for a chic, versatile look.
