Care

Swimming in chlorine? Go for Black Sand. Chlorine fades vivid colours over time — no matter how good the colourfastness or fabric — so darker holds up best in the pool. Salt or fresh water? Any colour's fair game.

Then keep your suit at its best:

  • Wash before use
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water
  • Dry flat in shade
  • Avoid rough surfaces
  • Avoid high levels of chlorine
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

Composition

Our recycled nylon starts as waste — fishing nets, carpets, abandoned textiles and plastic — that would otherwise pollute the planet. It's sorted, cleaned and regenerated into new fibre under the Global Recycled Standard.

Free standard shipping via USPS Ground on all orders, arriving in 2-6 business days from despatch. Express via USPS Priority is a flat $20 USD (1-3 business days). All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Menlo Park, California.

    Paired the shorts with the longer ted top. Love it. Not too much skin in between which is what I wanted. Would love to see a matching skirt or cover

    Love all my Sheila suits

    I have the Mina one piece in golden hour, the sapphire Nellie scoop bikini top and Grace mini swim short, plus the hot pink haze ash cropped rash guard and mid swim short. I love them all. They fit great. I was worried the mini short would be too short, but I had great coverage. Love the quality and colors of the suits.

    Great swim short

    Very comfortable and a great fit.

    Feel like it runs slightly larger than expected and the bright pink color bleeds a bit…even after wearing and rinsing a few times, although with time it seems to be doing so less vivaciously.

    I’m petite so the waist coverage was more than enough. Love the colors and the material weight is uniquely substantial for a swimsuit. I bought the top as well. I’ll be using for water sports in chlorine and sea water so hopefully they’ll last a while.
