PRIVACY POLICY

1. Respecting Your Privacy

Your privacy is important to Hey Sheila LLC (we, us or our). This privacy policy sets out how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information.

By interacting with our website, purchasing products from us, or otherwise providing your personal information to us, you consent to us collecting, storing, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with this policy, or as otherwise disclosed by us at the time of collection.

We may amend this policy from time to time, and the most current version will be published on this website. Your continued interaction with our website (including purchasing products from us) or your provision of further personal information to us once this policy has been amended, will constitute your acceptance of the amended policy.

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use and Terms of Sale.

2. Collection

The personal information we collect and hold about you will depend on the nature of your interaction with us, including whether you purchase products from us. The information will generally include your name, your contact details (such as your phone number and email address) and any other personal information you provide us. If you purchase products from us, the information will also generally include your financial details (such as credit card or bank account details), your postal address, and your feedback and opinions.

Generally, we collect personal information directly from you. This may occur in a number of ways, including:

  • if you purchase our products;

  • when you enquire about our products or provide feedback to us, for example, through our website or social media accounts or by email;

  • if you sign up to one of our mailing lists;

  • when you fill out polls or surveys on our website or social media accounts; or

  • when you otherwise communicate or interact with us by email or on our website or social media accounts.

Sometimes we collect personal information from a third party or from a publicly available source, but only if you have consented to your information being used or collected in this way, or would reasonably expect us to collect it in this way. We only collect this information from companies or sources that are allowed to disclose it to us.

You do not have to provide your personal information to us if you do not wish to, but if you do not provide all the information we request, we may not be able to provide you with the products, services or information you have requested.

3. Payment Gateway and E-Commerce Providers

We use third party providers such as Shopify to create and manage our online store and to process payments through our website. These providers may be located overseas, in Canada or other countries. Some third party payment provider gateways or e-commerce platforms used by us may require you to leave our website and be redirected to their website or application. If this occurs, you will be governed by the third party’s privacy policy rather than ours, and we encourage you to read their privacy policy. You can access the privacy policy for Shopify on its website.

4. Social Media and Communication Services

We use social media and communication services such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok to communicate with the public about our products and services. If you use these platforms, the relevant providers will handle your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can access the privacy policies for Meta Platforms, Inc. (covering Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and TikTok on their websites.

5. Your Online Activity

Cookies

We may also collect data from you by using ‘cookies’, which are small data files deposited by our website on your phone, computer, or other device, that allow us to track your use of our website. Cookies are sent back only to the servers that deposited them when a visitor returns to the relevant site/page. In addition, we may gather information about you that is automatically collected by our server, such as your IP address and domain name.

We may use this information to customise our offerings, to make information more readily accessible to you, to make our website easier for you to use, and to improve your experience.

Cookies can be accepted or disabled at your preference. If you disable the use of cookies, please bear in mind that this may affect how some items are displayed on our website.

Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel

We also use the ‘Meta Pixel’ and TikTok Pixel, which  are pieces of code placed on our website that allows us to understand the actions that people take on our website, for example, purchasing products from us. We may use this information to understand the effectiveness of our advertising and to reach you through future Facebook, Instagram or TikTok advertisements, by displaying advertisements relevant to the actions that you took on our website.  As mentioned above, the information collected by Meta Platforms, Inc (formerly Facebook, Inc) or TikTok Pte. Ltd will be handled in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can access the privacy policies for Meta Platforms, Inc and TikTok on their websites.

You can adjust your privacy settings and the advertisements you see: on Facebook via your Facebook Ads Preferences;  on Instagram via your Instagram Ad Settings; and on TikTok via your TikTok Ad Settings.

Lookalike Audiences

We may also use your personal information (such as your email address or social media handle), and the data we collect from visits to our website, to create a ‘lookalike’ or ‘similar’ audience of potential customers through the Facebook, Instagram or TikTok advertising tools. This may involve disclosure by us of your personal information (such as your email address) to Meta Platforms, Inc or TikTok Pte. Ltd. This allows us to target advertisements to new, potential customers who have a similar search behaviour to, or shared interests with, our existing subscribers and followers.

6. Providing Personal Information of Others to Us

You must not provide us with personal information about any other individual unless you have the express consent of that individual to do so. If you do provide us with such information, before doing so, you:

  • must provide that individual with a copy of (or refer them to) this privacy policy; and

  • warrant that you have that individual’s consent to provide their information to us

 7. Use of Your Personal Information

  • any other person authorised, implicitly or expressly, when the personal information is provided to or collected by us.

We reserve the right to disclose any personal information to law enforcement or other government officials where we reasonably believe that this may be necessary or appropriate.

We will never sell, trade, lease or rent your personal information to third parties.
