Sheila sizes by your body, not by the label on your last swimsuit. That's deliberate — measuring against our size guide is the most reliable way to land your best fit.

Our swimsuits are built to be supportive and comfortable. Between two sizes? Size down for a snug, compressive feel. Size up for a relaxed fit with room to move.


Models:

  • Cameron wears a Sheila size M and is an Australian size 12 (US size 8). Her measurements are height 179cm (5’10.5”), bust 91cm (36”), waist 74cm (29”), hips 99cm (39”), cup size B.

  • Philine wears a Sheila size XS and is an Australian size 6 (US size 2). Her measurements are height 178cm (5’10”), bust 84cm (33”), waist 61cm (24”), hips 89cm (35”).

Care

Swimming in chlorine? Go for Black Sand. Chlorine fades vivid colours over time — no matter how good the colourfastness or fabric — so darker holds up best in the pool. Salt or fresh water? Any colour's fair game.

Then keep your suit at its best:

  • Wash before use
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Hand wash or gentle machine wash in cold water
  • Dry flat in shade
  • Avoid rough surfaces
  • Avoid high levels of chlorine
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

Composition

Our recycled nylon starts as waste — fishing nets, carpets, abandoned textiles and plastic — that would otherwise pollute the planet. It's sorted, cleaned and regenerated into new fibre under the Global Recycled Standard.

Free standard shipping via USPS Ground on all orders, arriving in 2-6 business days from despatch. Express via USPS Priority is a flat $20 USD (1-3 business days). All orders are dispatched from our warehouse in Menlo Park, California.

    Unexpectedly so good

    Previously I had worn surf brand surf leggjngs which have always been good. But when I went I went up a size I was no longer in their size range. When I opened the package from Sheila I thought 'oh no I have ordered the wrong size' because they looked too small. Luckily I tried them on and unexpectedly they are the perfect fit. They are thinner than the surf brand which is fine for me because I don't mind cold water anyway, but because they are thinner they feel more flattering in a way I didn't expect.

    Wearing these on repeat!

    The Lara Legging honestly feels like a second skin. They’re so comfy, supportive & flattering, and still look brand new after so many wears. I love the luxe look too. I can throw them on with an oversized tee and still feel put together. Can’t believe my favourite leggings can be worn to the gym, sauna, grocery store and ocean… amazing!!

    Comfortable and versatile

    These leggings are awesome. I love the high waisted fit. The waistband didn't roll down and I was able to do a bunch of water and land-based activities with ease — from canoeing to swimming to hiking. They dried super quickly too which I appreciated given I was moving between activities and didn't want to change. They are true to size.

    I'm now a fan of swim leggings!

    I purchased a couple of other products and wasn't actually looking for swim leggings but decided they would be a versatile addition to my swim/active collection as I do a lot of water sports like paddle-boarding and kayaking. I get the sun protection I'm looking for but can wear these all day without needing to switch from swimwear to activewear — it's great they can tolerate the water without getting all stretched out like activewear does when it gets wet. I am seriously wearing these at least a few days each week which I didn't expect — mainly because they're so comfortable. The high-waisted fit is comfortable and doesn't roll down. Love these leggings and hope they offer more colours in the future.
